Mongolian National Council for Education Accreditation (MNCEA) and Japan University Accreditation Association (JUAA) have jointly organized a capacity building training as a step to produce reviewers and specialists of international qualification. A “prep-training for domestic reviewers and specialists to international capacity” where two experts from JUAA, Мs. Kazuyo Hara and Ms. Miwako Tsuta (Suzuki) conducted the course attended by over 200 domestic reviewers and specialists who aspired to measure their skills and capacities to that of international level. Separate trainings were conducted at three different days August 20, 21, 22, 2019 for three different types of attendees: 1. reviewers, 2. MNCEA staff/coordinators, and 3. MNCEA administrative staff.

The three-day training covered areas of subject that included development trend of international education accreditation system and quality assurance; difference between and comparative advantage and disadvantage of both Mongolian and Japanese accreditation rules and procedure. Specifics of JUAA accreditation system; JUAA accreditation standards, criteria and requirements; International evaluation methodology on self-assessment report; Japanese internal quality assurance; Rights and Responsibilities of reviewers and specialists; case studies for self-assessment reports; best practices of management and administration for education accreditation agencies. Discussion and exchange of experiences on administrative methodology and operation of agency. After training survey resulted in satisfactory outcomes of the attendees and instructors.
